Opening Night Celebration: Beethoven and Liszt with Indy Opera

Join us for the highly anticipated opening night of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s 2024-2025 Season as we pay tribute to the legendary composer Ludwig van Beethoven and perform a Liszt favorite. Conducted by Damien Geter and featuring soloists from the Indianapolis Opera, the CSO will perform Les Preludes by Franz Liszt and Symphony No. 9 by Ludwig van Beethoven.

Featuring Montgomery Variations by Margaret Bonds
The CSO proudly presents an evening dedicated to celebrating the rich tapestry of American life and music. A centerpiece of the evening will be Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, followed by Montgomery Variations by Margaret Bonds and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9. Pre-concert events will feature arts groups representing the diversity of the Carmel, IN community.

The Nutcracker 2024
with the Indiana Ballet Conservatory
Children and adults of all ages will be transformed by this heartwarming and classic tale. This version is closest to that of the original Nutcracker ballet that debuted over 100 years ago in Russia, so you won’t want to miss this timeless and beloved holiday favorite!
Staged by IBC Founding Artistic Director Alyona Yakovleva based on the 1934 choreography of Vasily Vainonen.

About Carmel Symphony Concerts
Come to the Palladium to hear some of the best symphonic performances in the region. Parking is always free in Carmel, and valet parking is available outside the box office. Dress as you like – sneakers and heels are equally appropriate. Explore downtown Carmel before the concert and enjoy food and shopping early.
