Mark Stempel has performed in the percussion section of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra since 2004. In addition to the Carmel Symphony, Mark has performed with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Owensboro (KY) Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, and Terre Haute Symphony.
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Mark attended Indiana University and earned a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Percussion Performance and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Music and an Outside Field of Computer Science. He has studied under Cary Dachtyl, Jonathan Wacker, Anthony Cirone, Craig Hetrick, Jerry Noble, and Richard Weiner. Mark resides in Fishers, IN with his wife Rebecca, son Eli, and daughter Esther.
