Ann Manship

Ann Elizabeth Manship is married to Phillip Manship and has 2 adult children Tim & Susie; and 4 grandchildren Sonya, Joseph, Tanner & Tej. Professionally she is a pharmacist who started working retail and is currently in a nursing home pharmacy. For 11 years she was a merchandise buyer for the drug chain predecessor to CVS. Ann is now retired, working as a pharmacist per diem. Besides her love of performing with the Carmel Symphony, she enjoys Purdue sports (specifically football & basketball) regularly singing in her church choir, and performing with the bell choir.

Ann had wonderful training on the violin early, as her Mother was a professional violinist & teacher, but decided her love of science would serve her best and decided to go to Purdue University for Pharmacy. While at Purdue Ann performed with the Purdue Orchestra & Lafayette Symphony. When she finished school in 1975 and began working retail pharmacy in Carmel, she saw a call out for the Carmel Symphony. Both Jan Brill & Anne Manship are original members of the incorporated Carmel Symphony Orchestra. Ann has seen many wonderful performance venues and many changes with the Carmel Symphony, making it a wonderful livelong advocation.
