History

Founded in 1976, the CSO has grown from a community orchestra into a fully professional ensemble, deeply rooted in the freelance music community of the Midwest. Our journey over the decades mirrors our commitment to musical excellence and community involvement.

At the CSO, we are dedicated to presenting soul-stirring masterpieces and modern symphonic works.. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in Carmel and its surrounding areas through artistically excellent performances and enriching educational experiences. We aim to create a welcoming environment that encourages all to “Listen Live | Listen Often.”
