Emily Yin

Emily holds a Master of Music in Performance and Literature from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Indiana University. She is a section violin member in the CSO.

She also teaches violin at the Indianapolis Suzuki Academy, where she teaches lessons and group classes. Previously, she was a violin and group class instructor at the Illinois String Academy at the University of Illinois Engagement Program and the Illinois Summer Youth Music programs.

Emily has also performed with the Moth Mainstage on jazz violin, the Illinois Symphony Orchestra as substitute member, and the Bay View Music Festival as Principal Second Violin. Other past appearances include the Orford Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Pacific Region International Summer Music Festival.
