Rate: $87/service, approximately 32 services (based on 26-27 season)

  1. Email a cover letter and one-page resume to Melanie Mashner, CSO Personnel Manager (melanie@carmelsymphony.org)
  2. Mail a $25 deposit check postmarked by Friday, August 21, 2026 to:

Resumes may be screened, and invitations will be sent out following the application deadline. Checks will be returned to invited candidates at the audition. If you are not invited, waitlisted, or you withdraw before September 12, 2026, your check will be held until after the audition date and then shredded in our office. If you are invited before and cancel after September 12, 2026, your check will be cashed.

To be offered a contract with CSO, audition winners must be available for 75% or more of the 26-27 season (schedule below). Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
